Similarly, to the Pick Me Up website, Hipster Logo Generator enables people who otherwise would have had to get a graphic designer to create them a logo, to do it themselves. It is really easy to navigate around and very self explanatory.
The Beatbox Academy lets you create drum beats by hitting certain keys on your keyboard. It doen’t really serve any other purposes (you can not save or export the beats), but it is fun. The parallax scrolling on the site is nicely done though.
Hato has designed a digital tool for the public to create letterforms that will then be used in the festival identity. Inspired by this year’s Utopia theme at Somerset House, the tool is a literal response to Thomas Moore’s ideal society, one that responds as and for a community.
Each letterform can be pushed, pulled and twisted, made light or dense and has the potential to be applied in publications and signage across the festival, as well as being downloadable and shareable direct from the digital tool.
I really like the concept and design behind this website. Its easy to use and navigate around, even un-creative people would probably give it a go and create their own letterform.
